The summer anime season has almost 40 new series going, but here are some of the best shows that are primed for binging. This list only includes new anime. While I live Re:zero to death, spring leftovers, and new seasons for returning anime, they are not eligible for this list.

91 days follows Angelo on his cold and calculated quest for vengeance against the Vanetti, a notorious mafia syndicate that murdered his family. It's tense and riveting anime full of thrill, and betrayal, violence, extortion, and booze, and is definitely one of this summers standout show.




AMANCHU

When Futba moves from the city to a gorgeous ocean town she meets the Muppet-like Hikari and is recruited to join a scuba club. These two girls with wildly different personalities bond over scuba diving in one of the more serene slice-of-life shows I've seen.
