Unlike most slice-of-anime, Handa-kun follows a story of a popular high school student who believes that everyone hates him. Even though his classmates adore and respect him, Handa cant help but feel like hes being bullied. Watching Handa attempt to isolate himself from his classmates in spite of his overwhelming popularity makes for a very entertaining addition to the summer line-up
KUROMUKURO
Extraterrestrial mechs invade Japan, and its up to a high school girl, Yukina Shirahane, and a samurai that's been frozen in time for 450 years to stop them. Great mecha action and the dynamic between the pair makes this a great show to binge.
LOVE LIFE! SUNSHINE!!
Love Life! Sunshine!! follows a lot of the original series' plot plans, but its characters makes this idol show worth watching, From a girl that believes she's fallen angel to a diehard fan of the original idol group. The Sunshine girls are a fun bunch to watch
MAGI: THE ADVENTURE OF SINBAD
For those who are not familiar with the Magi anime series, Adventure of Sinbad is a spin-off following the early adventures of the legendary Sinbad of course. Thankfully, knowledge of the original series is not needed to watch this entertaining and action-packed anime. Sinbad is known for being a charismatic leader and warrior, so its a nice change to see him in a period of vunerability. If your looking for a magical swashbuckling adventure this summer, definitely check out Magi: Adventure of Sinbad.
